Congratulations to Dr. Daniel Davidson, Business Law Department Chair, winner of the reserved parking space for the 2007-08 academic year!
Davidson was selected in a random drawing from a group of individuals who had contributed to the Faculty and Staff Campaign during this year’s fund raising drive.
As the winner, Davidson has the option to reserve a campus parking space any place on campus for the 2007-08 academic year year.
“I believe that it is important for us, the faculty and staff, to give something back to the University," Davidson said. "We expect support from our alumni and our constituents, but there are not enough reasons for them to support us if we are unwilling to support ourselves. RU is my second home, and I want it to be all that it can and should be. By giving a little each pay I hope that I am helping, at least in a small way, to contribute to RU’s well-being.”

Each year, the Faculty and Staff Campaign raises thousands of dollars toward the funding of student scholarships and programs, library resources and building and technology enhancements.
Colleges, departments and other areas of the University treat the campaign like a contest, vying to achieve the highest participation rates.
The Radford University Foundation works in conjunction with Parking Services to offer the prize each year to one lucky winner.
"Employee participation gives a strong message of internal support for those outside of our University.” said Penny Helms White, Director of Annual Giving for the RU Foundation said.
