The Radford Fund represents gifts for current use, made by alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and other friends, which can be used immediately to meet Radford University's most important needs and priorities. The Radford Fund is the administrative umbrella for all the annual giving programs at RU and is the bridge that joins private support with the needs of the university.

SUPPORT OF THE RADFORD FUND MAKES AN IMPACT ON ACADEMIC RANKING WHILE IT HELPS COVER THE COST OF OUR STUDENTS' EDUCATION. Today, state and federal funds cover less than 34 percent of the cost of a Radford education. The remaining funds come from tuition and private support from donors. The more donor support RU receives, the more affordable an RU education is for our students. Increased donor participation is also taken into account as a measure of overall support by national ranking agencies such as Kaplan/Newsweek and U.S. News and World Report as well as private foundations. Placing well in these rankings greatly enhances the value and prestige of a Radford University degree.

THE RADFORD FUND IS FLEXIBLE Every year thousands of alumni, parents and friends give to Radford University. You decide what area you would like to support. You may choose to give to a specific college or to a program you care about. The Radford Fund is comprised of gifts from $10 to $10,000 and is critical in supporting ongoing projects such as the arts, athletics, academic scholarships, recognition awards and many more initiatives. Every gift makes a difference!

HOW TO GIVE:

The methods chosen for supporting Radford are personal to each alumnus and friend of Radford, depending on individual circumstances and the application of the tax laws to particular gifts.
